Currently, only 65% of nations worldwide believe that equality is important. Some individuals were raised in a certain way where equality is not important to them and it is our mission to educate everyone before they become set in their ways of thinking.

Having participated in many activities and noticing the way certain individuals were looked at on teams, we were compelled to personally reassess the way our society looks at equality. While many individuals support gender equality, we haven't looked at the main issue. Over years of research, speeches, conferences, events, and more we have come to a conclusion that it is not only about empowering girls and pushing them to move forward, it is about educating all genders on equality early on. Once all genders understand that everyone is equal, our world can make more small steps to changing our society.

Individuals see gender inequality in their homes, textbooks, media, and communities everyday. People may assume that in a household the male should work and bring the money for the family, whereas the female should stay at home and take care of the house and children, but that is not the case. Collective Impact is here to make sure everyone understands the importance of equality and applies this information to their everyday lives.

Gender equality is not just a female fight, it is a collective initiative that we should all be striving to defend. Men make up 49% of the population, if we want a change, everyone should be part of the development.

Inequalities continue to persist across the world, within and among communities. Inequality threatens long-term social and economic development and destroys people’s sense of fulfilment and self-worth. This, in turn, can breed many other issues. Most importantly, we cannot achieve sustainable development and make the planet better for all if people are excluded from opportunities, services, and the chance for a better life.
